Kobe’s obsession with making natural beauty accessible led him straight to
He sought an investment of $300,000 for 6% equity. Kobe told the sharks he’d use the investment to boost online marketing and start breaking into retail.
With this support, he hopes to bring his eco-friendly brand to even more customers in big markets.
Kobee’s is all about keeping beauty simple, clean, and natural.
Starting with a line of 100% natural, handmade lip balms, the business has since expanded to include essentials like lotion bars, lip scrubs, cuticle butter, and hand salves.
Each product is crafted with just four simple ingredients: beeswax, coconut oil, sunflower seed oil, and mango butter. Together, they offer a clean, nourishing approach to personal care.
Furthermore, everything is made with a focus on transparency—Kobee’s uses ingredients you can actually recognize, with no synthetic additives sneaking in.
At its core, Kobee’s is a direct-to-consumer business, so its products are available online through the company’s website and Amazon.
Each lip balm costs $0.26 to make and sells for $5, giving Kobe an impressive margin of about 98%.
Kobe shared with the sharks that he made $30,000 in the first year, $200,000 in the second, and $864,000 in the third year.
So far this year, sales are already at $1.5 million, and he’s on track to finish between $3.5 and $4 million.
His main product is lip balm, which accounts for 75% of sales. The remaining 25% comes from other items like lotion bars, lip scrubs, cuticle butter, and hand salves.
A lot of this growth has come from smart advertising, bringing in $2.50 to $3 for every dollar spent, with a CAC of $14–$15.
The average order is about $32, which keeps margins solid.
Guest shark Kendra Scott says this isn’t the right business for her, and she exits the negotiations.
Kevin O’Leary offers Kobe $300,000 for 20% equity.
Lori Griener acknowledges Kobe’s determination and what he has built so far but says this wasn’t the right investment for her. She’s out.
Mark Cuban also says he doesn’t see how he can add value to the business. He’s out.
Daymond John said he doesn’t want to get involved in the business. He drops out.
Kobe responds to Kevin’s offer and counters it with $300,000 for 10% equity. Kevin says he can do 15%.
After considering the offer, Kobe declined and said he couldn’t give up that much equity.
In the end, he left the show without a deal.
Let’s get a Kobee’s update to see where the company is today.

At the time of writing, Kobee’s continues to sell its products online through its website and Amazon.
Our research into Kobee’s update found that shortly after filming their episode, they launched an SPF 15 Lip Balm, priced at $9.
This product not only keeps lips hydrated but also provides UV protection.
However, beyond lip care, Kobee’s branched out into skin-nourishing items like the $18 Cuticle Butter, $12 Hand Salve, $24 Overnight Lip Mask, $12 Lip Scrub, and $10 Lotion Bar.
Interestingly, we also found that the brand gives back by donating a portion of its profits to environmental organizations.
These include One Tree Planted, The Alliance for the Great Lakes, and Our Children’s Earth Foundation.
We can’t wait to see what Kobe is up to in our next Kobee’s update.
